Akmal 'transparent' @ The Comedy Experiment

Lec

Get set to laugh long and hard when popular cutting-edge comedian, Akmal Saleh, presents his show, Transparent, at Logan Entertainment Centre on Sunday 9 July.

One critic – suspiciously named ‘Anon’ – said of Akmal’s latest take on life, ‘I laughed so hard my eye balls popped out of my head’. Hence we’re assured that paramedics will be on call to take audience members to hospital if there are any chuckle-induced injuries!

It’s all part of a three-day comedy festival which is the first of its kind in the City of Logan, called The Comedy Experiment. Running from 7 – 9 July at the LEC (Logan Entertainment Centre), it’s guaranteed to be a weekend of fun with comedians galore, pre-show music, scrumptious food, and a warm and comfy setting. What's not to love?

On Friday, 7 July, performers from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow will be treating audiences to plenty of laughs. There’s Andy Saunders, Damien Power, Danielle Walker, Matt Stewart and Tim Hewitt. Then there’s #FirstWorldWhiteGirls: Botox Party on Saturday – a show that satirises first-world entitlement and the ‘me’ generation. Finally there’s Akmal’s show on Sunday, which is touted to be ‘his funniest show ever in the history of comedy’. No doubt there’ll be hilarity and more than a touch of offensive material, so be warned!

There’ll be live music from 6pm, with bar and share food available.

Note: Recommended 18+ for coarse language, sexual references and material that can offend.
