Things To Do This Weekend 4-6 March
This weekend The Beatles swing underground, the Powerhouse is the place for side-splitting laughs, an Oz pop icon opens his renowned artist friend's exhibition and there's indie wedding expos and an inaugual baby expo to attend. If that's not enough, 19th century music is played at a landmark historic house, 2 local breweries go head to head at a beer fest on the river and Legally Blonde returns to the stage.
New to try are Teneriffe's first public house, a NY eatery garden bar and cute wholefood cafe in the inner north and a pub-style eatery and bar in the inner west. Or venture south to discover a tiny decadent dessert bar, to the inner city for a secret Japanese sake bar, get a taste of Germany and Belgium in a pop-up South Bank kiosk and discover the bay's fantastic secret cafe in a holiday park.
Meanwhile for kids Steam Train Sunday returns and a northside beach launches an outdoor movie cinema showing classic family films with takeaway Middle eastern food.
