EGG RECORDS WEST END HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.
This veteran of the vinyl and retro movie movement has shifted from its long term city digs and joined the retro fray along Vulture St, facing off across the road with another vinyl destination Jet Black Cat Records.
And it's still the best place in town to fossick for classic albums, popular TV show DVD's, obscure vinyl imports and up-to-the-minute CD's as well as being a kiddult's dream with its life size Gene Simmons cut-outs, Spice Girls, Cher and Kurt Cobain dolls, a Kiss-mobile, Marilyn Monroe figurines, Sex Pistols sneakers, The Monkees board game and the piece de resistance – an entire glass cabinet packed with Elvis Presley and Beatles figurines (the latter from both their together and solo years).
