Owner Anne has an astute eye for simple well-cut clothes mostly sourced from Europe (esp. Italy) and shoes, with an emphasis on neutral tones, textures and natural fibres – think cashmere cotton, silk and Italian linen –  that complement each other beautifully and perfect for every day wear.

As such the ornate rooms in Mood have the feel of an exclusive walk-in wardrobe (that you wish was yours) where things can be mixed and matched to create a look of effortless chic.

Expect to find brands like AB and Hache from Italy, Antony and Alison from Britain (the only Australian stockist of this label), Sofie D’Hoore from Belgium, Melbourne brand Cable and, from the US, Tibi and J Brand jeans.

Mood also have a gorgeous stash of shoes from Spain (Pretty Ballerinas and hand-made Gaimo espadrilles) with the unusual combination of glamour, comfort and wearability.

There’s also a smattering of accessories to complete the outfit- boater style hats, artisan French jewellery of wood, stone, beaten silver and metal as well as belts and quirky socks.
