Glenlogan Lakes Park
Jimboomba
Glenlogan Lakes Park is a bit of a Jimboomba local secret, a kind of scenic rural retreat complete with BBQ pavilions, ducks and lakes tucked away off a housing estate near the township centre.
The rambling chunk of well-kept countryside resembles a farm, with rolling hills, distant sheds and two dam-like lakes that are home to ducks and other water birds.
The main (well-indicated) entrance is off Jude Circuit, with a small parking lot for half a dozen cars and from here, it’s a short stroll to the nearest BBQ and picnic pavilions overlooking the lake and distant hill, with a handful of other pavilions dotted far and wide throughout the park.
There’s a footbridge that leads to the start of a dirt path that circumnavigates the second lake, making a pleasant and easy stroll.
While there’s no play equipment, there’s plenty of hillside and wide open space for children to run, though under strict supervision as the lakes are not fenced.
Otherwise it makes a great secluded spot to enjoy some headspace and tranquillity away from the madding crowd.
