BLAKE & TAYLOR HAVE CLOSED THEIR RETAIL SHOP IN PADDINGTON AND ARE NOW AN ONLINE STORE ONLY.
Blake and Taylor is an 1890s Paddington butcher shop that has been beautifully transformed into a French-inspired homewares, fashion and gift store.
The only trace of its meat retailing past are the steel rails which are still bolted to the ceiling and from which slabs of meat once hung, today replaced by pendant lights, revamped washtubs and baskets.
Pretty much everything in this store is about savoir vivre (the art of living), from the vintage soaps, linen aprons, sterling silver baby bracelets, revamped pine dressers, shiny wellies and bath tea to the vintage mangle cloths, pop art bracelets, potato baskets and antique silver belts.
