The Tivoli
Shangri-La, the mythical, heavenly disco and biggest queer party of the year is coming to The Tivoli.
Showcasing the finest in underground queer DJs and performers from around the country, this is the clubbers dream of the north.
Shangri-La will feature music by DJ Du Jour (Syd), DJ Brooke Powers (Melb), DJ Danny Hotep (Melb), DJ Isaac Ismail (Bris) and performances by grotesque and gorgeous surreal showgirl Betty Grumble (SYD).
There’ll also be performances by Theatre of Thunder Stormbodies, alchemising Butoh dance, intense costumery, body installation and immersive sound, with the atmospheric sculpture of Matt Dabrowski.
Meantime, live drawings with light and intoxicating colours artist Kellie O’Dempsey will spray the discotheque with a psychedelic wallpaper using digital projections.
