Perception Deception

Qld Museum

Queensland Museum is not trying to trick anyone with their new Sciencentre exhibition, Perception Deception... or are they?!

Masterfully created by braniacs from Questacon - The National Science and Technology Centre in Canberra, Perception Deception will be a highlight at Brisbane's Sciencentre from now until July 15, 2018.

Perception Deception, Sciencentre, Qld Museum

Visitors will be put through their paces as they discover how different people perceive the same thing in different ways. With 28 hands-on exhibits and 60 interactive multimedia experiences, your fundamental understanding of how things should or shouldn't be will be turned on its head.

Perception Deception, Sciencentre, Qld Museum

Perception Deception is the ultimate display of mind trickery to test and fool you. It will challenge your thinking with melting illusions and perceptual playfulness.

Specially-designed prism glasses will put your sense of balance to the test, producing optical illusions and distortions that the brain will simply find hard to fathom. These, and other sensory signal switch-ups, will engage your grey matter in such a way that it will force you to look at the world in an entirely new way.

Whilst Perception Deception will certainly appeal to children, don't be fooled by thinking it's only for the kids. This fascinating exhibit is one that everyone will find entertainingly mind-boggling!

Nice to know - Entry into Perception Deception is included in the admission price to Sciencentre.
