World Music Cafe: Kpop Culture
Qmc
Crystal Yi, winner of SBS KPOP Star Season 5, will give Australian audiences an exclusive performance at World Music Cafe: KPop Culture at the Queensland Multicultural Centre (QMC).
This special event is hot on the heels of BEMAC’s (Brisbane Multicultural Arts Centre) previous World Music Café: New Generation event in April. Star attraction is Crystal Yi, from the USA, otherwise known as Lee Soo Jung.
Receiving the maximum 300 points from all the judges on the K-POP Star Series, she’ll be showing Brisbane audiences why she’s created such a buzz with this, her debut live performance in Australia. She’ll be accompanied by local musos and will also take part in a 10-minute Q & A session. A few lucky fans will even get to have their photo taken with the pop singing sensation.
Other highlights of the Asian Pop Culture event are dance competitions, pop-up stores (e.g. popular Korean cosmetics retailer, The Face Shop, and K-Beauty Town), K-beauty style demonstrations, and live performances from second generation Korean-Australians, KATU, who’ll deliver favourite K-POP covers and originals, and Paradise Crew – one of Brisbane’s leading J-POP (Japanese pop) and K-POP (Korean pop) dance groups.
World Music Café: KPOP Culture promises to be a dynamic and very colourful multicultural event presented by BEMAC along with Utopia Entertainment.
