Lota

Lota, just around the bay from the Manly Marina, is one of the area's best kept secrets: a sleepy little hamlet with character fisherman's cottages, a couple of fish'n'chips shops and this rather spectacular foreshore park with state of the art facilities and new playground next to what was once the Lota Camping Ground.

White rustic timber picnic shelters dot the grassy expanse, there are new barbecues and an amenities block, bike and walking paths traverse the park and run by the sizable sand-based playground.

Equipment consists of interconnected cubbyhouses and a couple of separate 'sheds', climbing sculptures, rocking creatures, slippery dips and climbing nets and ropes and suits most ages (although it is not fenced and not far from the carparks and road).
