Journey to Fantastic Lands takes children on an enchanting journey through GOMA’s Children’s Art Centre with a range of animations, interactive and playful artworks.
Bringing to life fantastic worlds that are brimming with mystery and adventure, the exhibition encourages youngsters to explore how artists use their imagination in bringing to elicit adventure and mystery.
Pip and Pop
Remember We Miss You Magic Land? This gorgeous magic land features four splendid glittery scenarios, with a special feather to look out for that takes viewers on an all new experience.
Isobel Knowles & Van Sowerwine
Little ones get to delve into a mystery realm of dreams via Isobel and Van’s interactive stop motion animation You Were in My Dream (set in a shadowy forest and encountering animals along the way).
Hwang in Jae
The traditional Korean children’s story ‘The Fairy of the Kumgang Mountains’ is brought to life with this large scale mural series that follows the tale to heaven and back.
Rosemary Laing
Young visitors can be inspired by Rosemary’s use of the digital camera as a tool to explore the relationships between people and environment, including the ‘downspeed series’ which turns the ideas of ‘home’ and the ‘natural world’ upside down.
Tom Moore
Via a series of zany glass features, Tom Moore brings them to life in ‘Autoganic, Everything Explodes’ where a city scape is attacked by alien space burgers and Tom’s sculptural work is also on display.
