Untapped

Ipswich Civic Centre

Fresh from sell-out Broadway performances, Untapped is a high-octane dance, music and comical experience for the whole family, at the Ipswich Civic Centre on Monday, 10 April.

The virtuosic show, from Raw Dance, won the 2016 Best Show at the Adelaide Fringe Festival – a wonderful reflection of the amazing talent on offer. We’re promised world-class entertainment with a distinctively Aussie sensibility, with a mix of funk, hip-hop, flamenco, African and Jazz.

Percussive a capella numbers will showcase the impressive synchronicity of the dancers, and there’ll also be beatboxer, Genesis Cerezo, with prodigious live microphone techniques. The live band features Musical Director Brendan Ramnath on Drums and Percussion, Jeremy O’Connor on Electric and Double Bass, and Mauricio Hosi on Guitar.

Co-choreographers Andrew Fee and Jack Chambers perform multiple roles while other dancers are Sally Hare, Kieran Heilbronn, Brianna Taylor, and Ginner Whitcombe.

Untapped promises to be a dazzling experience, with the New York Times describing it as “untrammelled energy” and the Sydney Morning Herald saying the moves are “awe-inspiring”. Dance fans should not miss it!
