Max Brenner's northern riverside chocolateria is a massive gleaming space adorned with cartoonish art and enhanced with mood lighting. Head to the main counter to order all kinds of wicked desserts or the apothecary style counter tucked in a corner for boxes of bon bons and individual pralines from the glass display box.

Signature dishes to indulge in in-house are the luscious chocolate fondue for 2 – set in ceramic bowls over burners and with bananas, strawberries and marshmallows for dipping. Otherwise there are waffle sundaes, choc-fudge brownie sundaes, melted chocolate in a hug mug, chocolate pizza, soufflés, chocolate dips, crepes and chocolate mousse, choc cinnamon babka and chocolate cupcakes.

If that's not enough indulgence try the exploding chocolate shot with popping candies and white chocolate.
