Logan’s diverse multicultural nature is alive and kicking in the shabby shopping centre wherein this little deli/grocer lies. Don’t be put off by the barred windows, faded signs and peeling paint of the old shops – in one block lies a wealth of groceries, delis and services from around the globe, including the Middle East, Pacific Islands, South East Asia, Africa and in this case Serbia and Eastern Europe.
The deli counter is a fantastic source of smoked beef, pork hock, prosciutto and pancetta, Serbian sausages, chicken or olive roll along with Austrian, Swiss and Dutch cheeses.
Grocery wise there is Dutch chocolate, pickled vegetables and teas galore, Polish canned goods, frozen burek pastries, leather clogs and a small collection of children’s fairy tales albeit written in the Cyrillic alphabet.
