Banana George Fruit Barn

The name may suggest otherwise but this is no run-of-the-mill suburban fruit barn.

Featuring walls lined with hookah pipes, kajal instead of lollies by the cash register and an Arabic sweets table for rummaging, this Lebanese green grocers shop manages to take the banal out of banana buying. (Notwithstanding the fact that all of its fruit and vegetables are of a decent quality and on the cheap side).

Aside from its wall and counter additions are a modest selection of groceries from the Middle East and Mediterranean zones as well as Turkish coffee makers cups and shisha to fire up the pipes.
