Q'Essence, a sleek modern open plan bistro bar framed by ornamental faux cherry blossom trees is Wilston's go-to place for late night drinks and dining as well as being a casual drop-in spot for an upscale lunch.

The lunch menu ranges from the delicious pulled pork roll with spiced relish, mustard mayo and chips through the signature popcorn chicken wings and fish'n'chips with mushy peas and salt and vinegar crisps to confit NZ king salmon. Dinner includes the latter two as mains with additions such as Gooralie pork belly and Gympie braised beef cheek and draws on some of the lunch menu as entrees. Otherwise sample the menu as a six course degustation, with a full vegetarian option. No matter what menu is chosen, all food is carefully sourced, locally where possible and backed by a sustainability ethos that shows in the freshness and quality of the ingredients.
