Fantastic Brisbane vistas and classic Italian fare from the team that has made Mariosarti Toowong a dining institution keep the crowds pouring in to this sleek chic restaurant on Bardon hill.

Inside is a stylish vision in black, with a traditional Euro style bar waiting area partitioned by a wine bottle wall for those who like a pre-dinner drink. The menu is compact, with a small selection of 3 antipasti and primi (including beef carpaccio, and Fritture de Mari (squid, whiting & prawns infused with fennel and a lemon aoli). The five pastas come in primi and secondi sizes and these include their signature spaghetti marinara and the delectable Giganti con

Gorgonzola (hand made pasta filled with porcini mushrooms ricotta and parmesan, with sage and gorgonzola sauce). The four secondi (mains) include Vitello Milanese (milk-fed veal cutlets with porcnini fused breadcrumbs) and Pancetta di Miale (twice cooked pork belly with anise-scented pumpkin). And leave room for dessert, with the Tiramisu and Budino di Cioccolato (soft-centred chocolate pudding) being the standouts.

The wine list is first class like the food, with a mix of Italian and Australian wines and top shelf champagnes otherwise there's a small section of European, NZ and Australian beers and cocktails.

Need to know: This is a recommended restaurant for date nights and large groups. On weekends bookings are essential.
