Budget - Korean - Brisbane
85 Elizabeth St
Hidden away upstairs via a nondescript doorway and dated staircase is this buzzing Korean eatery, which packs a crowd at any hour of the day or night.
The sleek ambient interior is partitioned into sections, and warmed by back lit walls, down lighting and stainless steel chandeliers while the bar counter features conceptual space age chairs.
Service is clockwork efficient and friendly but the well-presented generous portioned food is the star. With meals – stone hot pots, stir fries and rice dishes - averaging $12 -$13 (including dainty accompaniments of kimchi, pasta salad and bean sprouts) these have to be amongst the best deals in town.
From the bar a small range of Korean alcohol is available, including clear, plum, or wild-berry rice wine, Soju – a vodka-like distilled rice spirit and a choice of Cass or Hite Korean beers. As a bonus there is no corkage charge for wine.
