It’s easy to walk on past this fine tapas bar thanks to its unlikely setting in a glass and concrete voluminous space at the base of an office tower. Yet once inside vintage wood chairs, a mosaic tiled bar and swarthy slim-hipped waiters give the nod to Iberia as does the rustic menu.

The bar is the most popular place to sample traditional tapas such as croqueta, empanada (pastry turnover) or tortilla, from four dollars per plate. Otherwise settle into a seat at the tables and embark on the larger plates (raciones) – grilled fish with chilli creamed corn and lime, jamon serano or char grilled rib fillet with black beans and guacamole are amongst the succulent choices – and all ranging from fourteen to thirty dollars.
