A slick maritime themed bistro with polished floors and bifold windows overlooking the Esplanade, the Fish Café is Manly's go-to spot for upscale fish'n'chips and seafood dishes.

Expect to find Cone Bay barramundi, golden band snapper, Moreton Bay bugs or whiting and sand crab lasagne on the menu along with alternatives for non-seafood fans such as duck confit and Kingaroy beef eye fillet. For an entree or a light meal it's hard to go past a delicious Mezze plate of smoked mussels, snapper dumplings, salmon cake and white bait fritters.

Children are welcome here too with their own special menu on a colouring-in page, comprising steak, chicken calamari or fish with veges, salad and chips fr &8.50-$12.

Those looking for the usual fish'n'chips can go to the annexe at the back and wait on the church pew for their order to be filled or sit at one of the casual pavement tables and chairs.
