On the edge of the Aspley Hypermarket is this bustling giant dining room that gets packed to the chandeliers at lunch time when the Yum Cha trolleys do the rounds.

Amongst the steamed offerings are prawn & chive, pork or seafood, siu mai, BBQ pork buns, sticky rice parcels and chicken claws and the fried include spring rolls, pork buns, squid and Chinese pastries.

The décor may be dated but this place is all about good well-priced Yum Cha, which it delivers by the bamboo bucket. By night the menu reverts to a predominantly Chinese a la carte affair, with some Thai and Malaysian thrown into the mix (not tried by us).
