In the grooved-up shell of a side street warehouse boutique coffee roasters Rouge have set up home, bringing a welcome injection of great coffee into the South Bank precinct.

Whilst the bulk of the space is given over to roasting, customers can pull up a gaily coloured seat and in-house newspaper in the industrial style café or outside on the concrete terrace and enjoy a cup of one of Rouge's four signature blends (bold flavoured Excelsior, nutty Premium, single origin Supremo and Swiss Water decaf).

Also on the blackboard menu are baked treats and light breakfasts such as bacon and egg rolls with cheddar relish, bangalow ham and cheese toasties and croissants or lunches such as a sour dough mixed plate of fetta, tomato and avocado.
