An exuberant blue shop in an old servo that does a brisk trade in beans and coffees, this is one arm of the growing Merlo coffee empire.
Since establishing the first torrefazione (Italian roasting house) in the Valley in 1995 Merlo coffee has become somewhat ubiquitous around town, as have the roasteries, now in four separate locations.
Their beans, sourced from Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Kenya, Brazil and New Guinea are roasted fresh daily.
With district views over the hills and vales of Paddington from the back windows this is probably the best of the terraferzones to enjoy a coffee at.
