This little black white and red coffee nook (little bro' of Coorparoo's Hello Garry Espresso) with checkerboard floors does a trade in serious coffee from its lonely post on Skyline Drive. Using Genovese beans and a touch of barista magic it's well worth a detour if in the area and in need of a caffeine fix.

Coffee is the main game here but for a bit more sustenance there's a small menu of toasties both Turkish and sourdough with various fillings, banana bread and organic fruit toast. Inside are a handful of tables but, being Seven Hills, the best views come from out on the footpath, with district vistas and city glimpses.

And, where vistas are concerned, just around the corner and up the hill is one of the east side's most stunning and exclusive city views. Either drive to the top of Skyline Drive or, for a bit of aerobic adventure, take the steep hike up a c1925 heritage pathway (one of several) that lead to the mini peaks of the seven hills. In this case, the crude path leads from between 31 and 33 Majestic Outlook Drive up to Aemilia Avenue where the tiny Palatine Park on the peak of the hill has a bench to take in the views from this exclusive look out, best done with a Hello Garry espresso in hand.
