The best things in life are hard to find and such is the case with Dramanti Espresso, an artisan coffee roastery tucked away next to a railway line at the back of a row of old workshops.

Owner and master roaster Dragan (also of the CBD's Café Pronto) has converted one of the workshops into an arty atmospheric den decorated with artworks and collectables and with a cosy industrial lamplit lounge corner up front and roastery out back.

What distinguishes this roastery from most others is Dragan's dedication to extracting the coffee flavour without taking the dark espresso roasting route. The result is a coffee that can be enjoyed as a double ristretto with the benefit of full-bodied unique bean flavours and without the double shot jitters side effect.

The lounge makes a great retreat to enjoy a coffee and one of the small selection of sweet treats such as apple crumble tartlets, macarons and home-made brownies and on Saturdays there are free cupping sessions for customers to learn how to get the best out of their coffee.
