 The décor may be no frills but the food is anything but at this little café deli tucked away in the middle of a drive-in shopping centre. One side of the shop is devoted to gourmet foodstuffs – pasta, oils, marinades, soups, cheeses, smallgoods and delectable treats such as Ben and Jerry’s ice-cream and the other to hearty café fare that is largely Italian-influenced.
The freshly made salads are a meal unto themselves or can be accompanied by arancini, lasagne, frittata, pizza or risotto or for afternoon tea there are friends, cakes, cookies and giant lamingtons.
Seating is both inside for those who enjoy cosiness or outside for views of giant polluting vehicles attempting to negotiate parking spots.
