Tucked away next to Fairfield Gardens shopping mall, Slinky Espresso is a funky little child and dog friendly café with a foodie's menu that is largely gluten free.
And shoppers at Fairfield Gardens would do well to tear themselves away from the mall scene when it comes to food time as this place is a refreshing cut above anything else in the area.
On the menu is an all day light breakfast – the cheesy scrambled egg with home made tomato relish comes recommended – along with mashed avo toastie and fruit toast. Lunches are all freshly made on site and along with the usual sandwich based suspects are Greek spinach fetta pie and gourmet sausage rolls.
Otherwise macarons and lemon curd tarts are amongst the sweet treats, the coffee is well-made Genovese and the fabulous frappes come chocolate bar based.(Cherry Ripe, Flake and Cookies and Cream).
A little kiddie's corner has a toy stove and activity book and outside by the art wall is a groovy water bowl for dogs and plenty of tie-up opportunities.
