An old shop on Wynnum Rd has been stylishly transformed into Lash Café, an elegant retreat that serves up delicious home made and gluten free fare.
And while it is off the beaten track from the area's shopping strips, it is well worth the detour thanks to the fastidious attention to detail by the owners,
Inside a series of black and white rooms with dark wood polished floors and chandeliers are separated by black curtains into a main dining area, a parlour with couches and wrought iron furniture and a rear sunroom with communal table and stools overlooking backyard greenery.
 On the menu are all day breakfasts and lunch, with the latter including gourmet pies, Cornish pasties and sausage rolls that also come as gluten free options. In addition there are freshly made burgers, baguettes and sandwiches (with bread sourced from Banneton), daily sweet treats such as fresh baked scones, biscotti and meringues.
Coffee hails from Blue Sky Roastery and there's also a terrific children's menu both for breakfast and lunch, featuring jaffles, mini crepes and sausage rolls, wraps and sandwiches.
