This charming bohemian café features at its rear a slightly overgrown courtyard that looks as if its been beamed in from an Asian guesthouse somewhere. Reached by a brick carriageway and towered over by some rainforest trees and adorned with Asian flags and mossy statues, it could hardly be more removed from the law precinct in which it’s located.
Upstairs at street level the staff are tattooed, the excellent coffee is Map and the simple food menu (muffins, toasted sandwiches and cakes) is amongst the tastiest and best value in this part of town.
A high-ceilinged dining nook with VJ walls and scuffed wooden floors completes the picture.
