Lending credence to the best things being found in the least trafficked places, the fourth Brother Espresso venture is arguably the jewel in the crown. Occupying an old World War II army igloo that squats surreptitiously in a Valley side street is a first rate café offering in-house roasted coffee and chef-prepared snack-meals (the most popular of which is the sirloinsteak sandwich and the chorizo salad).

The décor cleverly matches the curved corrugated iron of wartime with a caged deck in a palm garden, fabulous stained glass partitions and strewn sacks of coffee so that even if you don’t score the Chesterfield lounge to sit on it’s a great place to linger.
