This fabulous artisan bakery and café would be more at home on a Parisian street than in its industrial like shed overlooking a carpark on Sandgate Rd but part of its charm is the unexpected Aladdin’s cave of baked delights within.
Inside every surface is covered with loaves, bagels, friends and cake and it is here you’ll find divine Spanish sourdough, a myriad of sweet and savoury bagels, croissants, traditional rye, sour dough donuts and cakes, baguettes and fiscelles.
And it’s worth sitting at one of the rustic tables and partaking in their café menu which is also top shelf – try the Reuben roll of corned beef, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut or the pork waldorf or go for a bagel which are close to perfection.
