Buried in a tiny 1960s shopping strip in Salisbury is this rustic country style gem of a café and mini providore, with a delicious home baked menu and a smattering of gourmet produce for sale.
Colonial wooden dressers, colourful patchwork cushions, a chalkboard feature wall, cane baskets of fruit and vegetables and a church pew feature inside while on the pavement are a cluster of wooden chairs and tables.
Beyond the charming ambience, the great value food is a serious drawcard, with the majority of ingredients organic and sourced locally. And being an all day menu, the items are designed to sustain from early morning to afternoon.
Eggs come scrambled or poached and come with pesto, soldiers, beans or avocado, poached tomato and relish.
 Otherwise there’s a selection of toasts with spreads, including pumpkin bread or organic fruit loaf or a nibble platter – a selection of meats, cheese, fruit and relish with sourdough.
The latter is great for parents with young ones in tow, but that’s not all - babycinos are $1 and there’s an entire children’s ‘play station’ – boxes of story books, jigsaws, dominoes and colouring pencils.
