A charming little street café just off the Wilston main strip, Serendipity is a top place for a budget ‘all day’ breakfast, with a menu featuring Oz and Egyptian dishes.

The signature Egyptian breakfast is a bargain at $8.50 and consists of fava beans, tomato, onion, cumin, lemon and pita bread while the more substantial Egyptian Brekkie Roll ($10.50) has the same filling on Turkish bread with a fried egg.

The less adventurous have plenty of choice including standard brekkie rolls of smoked bacon and egg, banana bread, eggs and fetta on toast or an omelette, all of which are made with free range eggs.

All breakfasts are made fresh to order and the coffee is well-brewed Belaroma. Or for those after something short and sweet there’s a choice of home baked cakes and muffins.
