On weekdays this is one of those hidden lunch spots, a tranquil courtyard that is big on atmosphere and lacking in crowds, and perfect for a quick bite – from Angus beef burgers or heirloom tomato salad to a pasta dish.
Come evenings the trees are fairy lit, the suits descend and it becomes a buzzy open air room perfect to enjoy a drink in the balmy air. While the drinks list contains fairly standard cocktails, the spirits and wine are on the finer side. None come cheap but here it’s about the atmosphere.
Note that lunch is available from 12-2.30pm and reservations are recommended.
