The Tea Trolley is a chic, vintage inspired tea room found nestled within Ormiston Village Shopping Centre.
Serving petite, traditional and decadent high teas, light lunches and an assortment of sweet treats, The Tea Trolley even serves high tea morsels for kids.
Owned by a local Ormiston mother, everything is homemade and baked in house by Michelle – using her Grandma’s secret scone recipe and adding edible glitter to her brightly coloured cupcake icing.
The tea room is laden with tables for groups small or large, with every place given their own personal tea cup and saucer for their dining experience. The fine china has been collected by Michelle over the years and is now being put to good use in her tea room. There are cabinets of the collectible fine china, floral artworks adorning walls and lacy curtains dressing windows to complete the chic, vintage tea room look.
Of course, high tea is their most popular dining choice, which comes in three difference sizes: petite, traditional and decadent. The decadent high tea is a three-tier tower laden with delicious mini sweet treats, two freshly baked scones with jam and cream, finger sandwiches, hot mini savouries and served with a pot of tea or plunger coffee.
Dietary requirements are catered for with gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian high tea available with 24-hour’s notice.
Kids aren’t left out either at The Tea Trolley, with their very own menu filled with goodies such as fairy bread and mini cupcakes, as well as their own pint-sized high tea.
There is an array of Aromas and Embrace Organic teas to choose from in your high tea experience. Stick to your classic English Breakfast, or you can try something different such as Pina Colada. Plunger coffee, soft drinks and iced teas are also available.
Nice to know - The Tea Trolley caters for private functions such as bridal showers and birthdays. Guests can book ‘The Tea Cosy’ room out the back or alternatively book the entire venue. Kid’s High Tea Parties can be catered for children’s birthdays. Kids can enjoy their own pint-sized high tea, decorate their own cupcakes and indulge in some take home treats from the lolly bar.
Need to know – Centre parking is available.
