Flavours From Home
Cleveland
FLAVOURS FROM HOME HAS CLOSED.
Flavours from Home at Cleveland stocks an amazing range of British goods and it's not just homesick Brits who are enjoying the wide range of products on offer.
Owners, Tracy and Brian Corrigan set out on this business venture with a stall at the Cleveland markets. Their range of British goods proved to be so popular with market goers that they decided to open their own store in the bayside suburb.
From lollies and chocolates to pork pies and Cornish pasties, it's all covered here. And it seems the most popular item stocked is the humble potato chip. Tracy says that the British chip is distinctly different in taste and texture to our Aussie chips and well worth a try.
Fans of the TV show, The Vicar of Dibley, will find the Vicar's favourite chocolate bars here, along with English cheeses, scotch eggs, black pudding, haggis, tins of mushy peas and so much more. It's not all about food, however. British themed souvenirs, Germolene and liquid TCP can also be found on the shelves (ask a Brit about the latter two items).
Need to know - A pie warmer and a wide range of traditional pies from Syd's Pies and Wensleys will be coming to the store soon. If getting to Flavours from Home is difficult, phone to place an order and enquire about delivery to Brisbane and the Gold Coast areas. Alternatively, online shopping is available.
