Hummingbird Bar & Restaurant is Rosalie village's hub of quality cutting edge food, drinks and good vibes.
The ambient restaurant has simple yet inviting décor, boasting plenty of tables indoors and also outdoors on their deck. Drop pendant lights line the bar, as well as flourishing planters against stone walls and timber furniture.
Hummingbird's carefully curated menu is upscale modern Australian with a unique twist, featuring main dishes, tapas-style food and desserts created using fresh and local produce.
To begin, all diners are served freshly baked charcoal breads, with a pot of authentic butter, while starters at Hummingbird feature fresh, experimental seafood - must try are their oyster smoked with paperbark and juniper berries.
For mains, diners can choose between different meat, fish and also pasta. Not just any kind of pasta though - think six-piece delectable shitake mushroom tortellini served with morels, truffle and pecorino.
Their pan roasted dory is a popular dish, served with salt baked celeriac, lardo and a smoked pea puree. Mains can also be served with accompaniments, such as dandelion greens with vanilla emulsion and a bacon crumb.
If popping in just for drinks, cheese accompaniments are available - featuring a selection of Australian and imported cheeses.
On the bar front, Hummingbird offers a range of delicious cocktail classics and martinis available to order - try the ruby grapefruit and gin martini for a refreshing sun downer. Otherwise, their beer, wine and spirits menu is extensive.
Nice to know - Hummingbird Bar & Restaurant is located under the Blue Room Cinebar. Street parking is available nearby.
