The Patio

Bahrs Scrub

THE PATIO IS NO LONGER A RESTAURANT BUT IS NOW A TRAINING CAFE FOR CATERING STUDENTS.

Housed in a beautifully-restored cottage, The Patio at Bahrs Scrub serves up an exquisite selection of modern Australian cuisine with subtle Asian and European undertones.

Situated in the tranquil region of Bahrs Scrub, midway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, The Patio is an ideal venue for your next date night or that special-occasion lunch or breakfast.

The Patio Bahrs Scrub

Sitting proudly on a grassy hill, this restaurant-cafe is a picture of perfection, with its landscaped gardens, wide verandah and polished wooden floorboards.

Diners can sit either in the cosy interior, or out on the verandah, soaking up the sun and the lovely garden views.

The Patio Bahrs Scrub

For owner-chef Aaron Bryan, The Patio is the realisation of a long-held dream. As such, he prides himself on using only the freshest ingredients, and ensuring everything on the plate not only tastes amazing but also looks stunning too.

Signature dishes include the pork cutlet with warm caramelised cinnamon apple, sambal and enoki mushrooms, and the chicken breast stuffed with avocado and camembert, wrapped in crispy prosciutto, with confit garlic mash, asparagus and hollandaise. The 300g rump steak is also a must try.

While the dinner menu is the real highlight here, guests can also sample an all-day menu featuring a selection of burgers, fish of the day, Szechuan calamari and chips, a vege quesadilla and plenty more. Breakfast is also served until 11am on weekends.

For something lighter, there’s a delicious selection of ever-changing cakes and sweet treats to choose from, plus Coffex coffee, and an extensive range of wine, beer and spirits.

The cheese board for two, featuring a selection of cheese, fruit and nuts is an ideal accompaniment to a glass of wine, and a lovely way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Nice to know – If you’re thinking of tying the knot and like what you see here, ask the staff about their range of wedding packages.

Need to know – The Patio has a large off-street carpark plus stroller and disabled access.
