Piccolo Pizza, a much-loved institution in Brisbane's inner eastern suburbs, has spread its wings to a quick and casual evening eatery in the main thoroughfare of Highgate Hill.
With West End’s hip cocktail lounges only a short taxi ride away, Piccolo Pizza is a great place to eat in for a pre-cocktail dinner. Diners may come in large groups to sit at the long tables and enjoy the charcoal and vibrant green walls and trendy glowing light fixtures.
On the other hand, couples and intimate crowds can pick a table for two and share some tasty toppings such as the Spiced Lamb pizza which boasts caramelised onion, yoghurt, sumac and fresh rocket. Traditional Italian toppings include Calibrese, Pepperoni or Margherita. Or for something more adventurous there are international-inspired offerings like the Oslo (smoked salmon, red onion, capers, sour cream and basil) or the Paris( duck foie gras, mushrooms, truffle oil, veal sausage and mozzarella).
