Tucked away in a back laneway next to Grindhouse Espresso, Tuckeria is a bright funky little Mexican den based on the traditional taquerias of San Francisco's Mission district.
Inside features ceiling to floor wall art, rustic wooden tables, cacti and colourful chairs and crates and outside a deck shared with Grindhouse means coffee and food can be exchanged between the two.
The menu here is a simple yet delicious Baja Californian affair, with real corn chips, house made guacamole and an emphasis on fresh throughout. Tacos come California, soft or con todo (with the works) as do burritos, otherwise there are nachos, Mexican soup of the day, chilli cheese fries, Mexican taco salad, enchiladas and quesadillas to eat in or take away.
Being licensed there's also a great range of Mexican beers including Negra, century old Sol and Dos Equis Spanish lager as well as frozen margaritas.
