Crazy Panda Dumpling Bar in Camp Hill Marketplace is where the locals go for homemade dumplings, Asahi beer on tap and a range of other fresh Asian dishes.
All the dumplings and other Chinese delicacies are made in-house, utilising only fresh and local ingredients, such as meat from the local Camp Hill butcher.
In keeping with the name of the restaurant, the interior is adorned with pandas – on the wall, on the bar, as well as at the counter. Bamboo has been used on the walls to complete the authentic Chinese look. Table seating is available indoors and outdoors.
Dumplings can be ordered boiled or pan fried and in a range of classic and unique flavours. Classic dumpling choices are the pork and wombok, as well as the vegetable dumplings which includes wombok, fungus, carrot, ginger and garlic.
The creative dumpling concoctions include the beef and onion with oyster sauce, as well as the curry chicken, carrot and potato dumplings – which are the current favourites with local diners. The assorted dumplings are a recommended dish as diners are able to try each dumpling flavour in the one meal.
The Lemon Chicken is another popular choice amongst diners and is made with a homemade lemon sauce. Edamame is also often enjoyed between dishes or as a starter. Otherwise salads, BBQ pork buns, noodle soups, dim sims and also dessert options like fried ice-cream are available.
To accompany the food here are two Asahi beers on tap as well as a range of bottled beers, cider and wine on offer. Alternatively, sip on their signature Blue Lemonade or Chinese Tea.
