Careful My Tummy Espresso

Sherwood

CAREFUL MY TUMMY HAS CLOSED IN 2014 AND RE-OPENED AS FUNKY INDUSTRIAL VINTAGE CAFE ANANAS ESPRESSO.

Sherwood's antique precinct got a whole lot zippier since Simon Wescombe (ex–Hello Garry Espresso and Qwerk Espresso) opened retro coffee and brunch nook Careful My Tummy Espresso.

Frequented by locals in-the-know, it makes a worthy caffeine and snack stop if in the area or passing through. As well as the excellent Genovese coffee which comes in all forms, there's also a light breakfast/brunch menu of daily blackboard specials such as free range scrambled eggs, mashed avo on sour dough or Mick's Nuts muesli (plain or gluten free) and in the cabinet, filled rolls or sweet treats such as chocolate peanut sandwich or double choc brownies.

Inside Simon's created a funky laid-back vibe with scattered vintage furniture and touches such as cast iron sugar pots, a wooden tic tac toe table game, retro metal milk shake containers and daily newspapers to read.

Need to know: dogs are welcome with plenty of room to tie up outside.
