RUBY CAFE HAS CLOSED AS OF MAY 2016.

Not just a chic little cafe with ruby red trimmings, Parisian cafe chairs and a stunning rear view over the hills and valleys to Red Hill, Ruby's added lure is its chef-inspired foodie's menu.

Diners can leave sandwich aspirations behind unless they involve fillings of pulled pork and cucumber or philly cheese steak, the burger comes open-plan with a delicious smoked salmon and red quinoa patty, chicken is in drumette form with house made slaw and the tacos are topped with calamari and chilli sauce.

Meanwhile breakfasts step up to the mark with butternut, eschallot and goat's cheese omelettes, manchego baked eggs with chorizo and tomato raisin chutney or bubble and squeak hash cakes among the offerings.

Coffee is as excellent as the rest and service wise Bruce the owner oversees a smooth operation.
