S Bar Cafe
Clayfield
S BAR CAFE IN CLAYFIELD HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.
S Bar Café is a bright little garden-style café with quirky attached gift shop nestled in a corner of a Clayfield shopping strip.
Seating is al fresco on a pretty enclosed patio with a mix of pale timber, white and floral patterned garden furniture or inside the cosy inviting space.
Breakfast, which is served until mid-afternoon Mon-Sat* and until 12.30 on Sunday*, comprises a mix of healthy light choices such as Acai Bowl, Smashed Avo and Feta on toasted sourdough and the recommended Smoked Salmon on potato rosti with sliced avo, sour cream and lemon, or heartier fare like the Open Omelette topped with chorizo, mushrooms, caramelized onion, melted cheddar and sundried tomato or the Big Brekky (the works including potato rosti and fresh relish).
For lunch diners can chose from a healthy Chia and Linseed Burrito wrap with chipotle BBQ chicken, brown rice, cheese, onion, tomato and sour cream, Fish and Chips (barramundi strips in Japanese breadcrumbs), Gourmet Hamburger or Sliders (2 mini sourdough buns with pulled pork and Asian Slaw) with rustic hand-cut chips.
In addition there’s a counter of savoury and sweet treats including a range of delicious protein raw slices from Geebung’s raw cake shop Nutri Hitt.
The excellent coffee served here is a no-name blend from Piazza D’Oro and cold drinks include Iced coffee, mocha and chocolate, Acai, Mango, Banana or Berry smoothies, milk shakes (including kids size) and thick shakes, frappes and large fresh or kids size juices, as well as organic soft drinks and coconut water.
As well as taking time out for a coffee or a bite to eat, the attached shop Finders Keepers Gifts is well worth a browse, for its unique and quirky selection of homewares and gifts, including Glasshouse candles and diffusers, bags, rugs, pottery and a small range of baby items.
Need to know - S Bar Cafe is set back in a blink-and-you-miss-it location on the left hand side heading north on Sandgate Rd. A limited amout of off-street parking is available onsite. Look for the Finders Keepers sign and turn in the driveway.
