The Ponycat

New Farm

Ponycat distinguishes itself not just by its mythical name, nor its more-ish menu but as one of the few cafes in Brisbane that serve an all day every day top breakfast.

No matter what time of day the urge strikes for Eggs Benny on sour dough (with salmon or bacon), smashed avo, walnut and fetta on Spelt, Boston beans and pork sausage with fried egg, sweet potato pancakes or even a simple ham, egg, chutney and cheese - Ponycat's your destination.

And for anyone who ever tried the roasted field mushrooms, spinach, pesto and baked fetta on onion rye or the scrumptious French toast (choc chip brioche with caramelized rhubabrb, pear and ice-cream), it's destination numero uno.

But it's not just about breakfast - the smattering of lunch offerings are also an all day affair, so you can rock up for a sensational haloumi burger, beef burger, honey baked ham sandwiches or the delish daily salad first thing in the morning.

Coffee at Ponycat is every bit as good as the food, with beans sourced from local Velley roastery Campos. Also pretty special are the fruity smoothies, iced latte with ice-cream and anything from the daily baked sweets list.
