Golden Buddha by night, Lazy Monk's Cafe come weekend - one of Brisbane's best Thai restaurants transforms into a fab brunch spot on Saturdays and Sundays, serving locally roasted Abrisca coffee and top-notch breakfast.
Sitting on the corner of D'arcy Road and The Corso in Seven Hills, customers can soak up some rays on the footpath amidst the flowering blooms and potted plants or dine indoors the restaurant amongst the buddhas.
Breakfast - beautifully presented and delicious tasting - is prepared by Golden Buddha'a award winning chefs - think fresh fruit salad with yoghurt and honey and pancakes with maple syrup, seasonal fruit, fresh cream and berry compote (ice-cream is optional) to bacon and egg wraps, BBQ duck rolls and big breakfasts with bacon, sausages, grilled tomato, hash brown, mushrooms, eggs and toast.
Or go for a traditional Thai breakfast, which might include Red Pork in Tamarind Sauce with crispy egg noodles or Pad Thai.
Besides espresso, there's Thai iced coffee served in jars, fresh juices in mini jugs, mango or banana smoothies, turmeric latte and young coconuts.
Nice to know - Dogs are welcome to dine al fresco with their owners.
