Bell Jar Café in Kangaroo Point is a gorgeous café serving breakfast all day and lunch from 11am alongside excellent espresso, roasted locally by Wolff Coffee Roasters.

Housed on the ground floor of Peninsula Apartments, next to the heritage listed Shafston House, the Bell Jar is chic and modern with indoor and outdoor seating.

Open daily from 7am, the breakfast menu includes light options like honey roasted granola with vanilla yoghurt and seasonal fruit and avocado piled high on sourdough with haloumi, alfalfa and cherry tomatoes; while heartier fare ranges from classic eggs benedict with bacon, ham or smoked salmon and buckwheat pancakes with honey walnut ice-cream and bananas, and the Bell Jar’s Brekkie Board with bacon, eggs, mushrooms, spinach, sausage and sourdough (also available as a platter for two).

Lunch consists of classic hamburgers served with fries and toasted sandwiches (pulled pork with smoky BBQ sauce, corned silverside and sauerkraut, and field mushrooms, haloumi and Swiss cheese) served with salad.

Besides coffee, customers can drink Pukka herbal tea, Temple Teas and milkshakes such as snickers or strawberry, cream and coconut.
