Scarborough's funkiest cafe may be situated away from the seafront shopping village but for locals in the know Burnt Orange is the heart of the village.
For here within the stencil art walls is a home away from home , where dogs are welcome, breakfast is served all day, books are exchanged within the mini library and everything is home made and dished up with warmth and care by owner Greg.
And food wise it's hard to find better on the peninsula – scrumptious salt and pepper squid, fresh caught fish of the day, gourmet pies and a delicious range of sweets are but some of the offerings.
Meantime coffee is well made Lavazza and tea drinkers have a choice of twelve organic loose teas from Mullumbimby's Tea Lady.
And with a license just granted, the days at Burnt Orange are about to get a lot longer with evenings of wine and tapas coming up.
