Opposite Bulimba Memorial Park, Barcadia - the brainchild of two Bens (Pullen and Moore) - is where locals go to enjoy a brew or two on the patio (with a funky Frank & Mimi mural); while inside is industrial cool with polished concrete floor, tile and copper bar, fully-tiled rear wall and pinball machines, matched with dark timber furniture.

Besides local and international beer, the bar is well-stocked with wines from Australia and oversees, French champagnes, spirits (including more than twenty whiskies) and cocktails by the glass or jug.  Try a Cosmo Supernova, Mo’ Mojito or Chica Cherry Cola with dark rum, maraschino, cinnamon and Coca-Cola.

Whether you need a nibble or something more substantial, Barcadia has you covered. Bar bites range from crispy pork skins with habanero rub and aioli and wagyu beef spring rolls to make your own tortilla boards with soft tortillas and your choice of fillings: 12 hour slow-cooked brisket, Cajun chicken, grilled fish or Tocino pork with kimchi and annatto sauce.
