Brisbane’s red-hot winter attraction is the Absolut Winter Pop Up Bar, featuring igloos, cocktails and a warming menu to keep the chills at bay, on the riverfront at Customs House from May 18.
Here’s the in-place to mingle in stylish igloos kitted out with Nordic-styled furnishings and fur-draped lounge chairs, while sipping on Spiced Absolut Winter, the bar’s signature drink.
As well as this cocktail, which is a heady mix of Absolut vodka and cranberry juice infused with cinnamon, star anise, cloves and orange, and topped with meringue foam, look out for the Arctic Citrus (a mix of Veuve Ambal, Absolut vodka, lemon juice, elderflower cordial, and lemon myrtle) and the Black Russian with coffee jelly.
Otherwise a fine selection of whisky based sips, vodka mixes, premium wine, beer and spirits are available.
To accompany, the delicious food menu includes gourmet cheese plates with Swiss Gruyere and triple cream brie, Swedish meatballs, warming venison stew, potato and cheese croquettes, crispy pork cheek sliders, and chocolate fondue with strawberries and marshmallows. Full menu here
